While dependable tools for hard use, Ontario machetes come from the factory with the scales not flush with the tang, an acceptable but unfinished edge, and a rounded and unground tip. However, these American-made classics are diamonds in the rough and will perform exceptionally well once given some additional work.

If selecting the Special Grade option we will:

-Bring the scales flush with the tang and hard corners rounded
-Finish the edge to a thin convex and brought all the way to the point
-Shape the tip to a fine point

Due to the nature of the polypropylene handle material, some scratches may be visible from the modification procedure.
