A long-shanked billhook that affords extra reach for avoiding scrapes when clearing thorny undergrowth. The broad hook makes quick work of grasses, lush vegetation, briars, and woody-stemmed plants while the hatchet blade tackles larger woody targets and is useful in situations where the bill would get in the way. The traditional turned wooden handle features a steel ferrule to prevent splitting, and a large flare at the butt to maintain a secure grip even with extended use.
