A distinguished variation of the iconic "trade axe" pattern historically produced by North America and Europe for export to Central and South America, this intimidating axe is ready for serious work! In contrast to many axes of this type, the head features a small flat-faced poll, and the extra long bit assists in making deep, narrow cuts. The eye is tapered and the handle slipped through the top like the handle of a tomahawk or pickaxe, making it easy to fashion a new one in the event of breakage. 1500g head.
