This premium Italian sledge hammer features a slip fit handle like a tomahawk or pick axe, making replacement of damaged handles a breeze and allowing for multiple handles to be used with the same head. We use one of these on the Baryonyx homestead and use the long factory handle for heavy tasks and a shorter handle for situations where strong blows are required but more finesse and precision is needed. Only a few seconds are required to switch between handles--just knock the old one out with a mallet and tap the new one into place! The 3000g head gives a generous 2 and 1/4" square striking face for easy driving.
