Have a lot of edged tools in need of sheaths? This durable rubber edge stripping can be cut to length to effectively and economically cover the edges of most large knives, machetes, billhooks, grass hooks, and axes, including tools that would be difficult or impractical to fit with a normal sheath.
While most forward curving, straight, and upswept edges are no challenge for this flexible material, to fit strong upward curves it can be made to take a tight bend by heating it with a hair dryer, bending it to the desired curve, and cooling with cold tap water while still holding the shape.
